Sound is back on and your projects need no modification. Assign each missing MTS file to the newly created MKV version and you're done. Next time you open the project in PP 2018, it will prompt you to locate the missing files. Then move or delete the original MTS clips from the project folder. Do this for all clips in your project folder, it doesn't take long at all (a 40 minute, 1.9 GB MTS file takes about a minute to convert on my machine). Then change the output format to MKV and save. Edit visually stunning videos and create professional productions for social sharing, TV. SurCode for Dolby Digital Adobe Premiere Plug-in is a permanent license activation on one computer for SurCode for Dolby Digital 5.1 Encoder in Adobe Premiere. The direct download links for that installer (and other CC 2017 versions) can be found here. Use Adobe Premiere Pro, the industry-leading video editor. As Stan noted in reply 9 above, Adobe pulled the Premiere Pro 11.1.2 version and replaced it with 11.1.4, which is the same (last) CC 2017 release but without the Dolby codec included. On PrePro 2018 (12.0.0 Build 224) this didnt happen. I chose MP3 but there are many others which Premiere will happily work with. Get Premiere Pro and 20+ Creative Cloud apps, plus features to easily manage licenses, simplify billing, and more. With PP CC 2018 now using OS codecs for audio it is not able to open the audio because the OS cant. Load the clips (MTS in my case) into Avidemux (free), leave the Video option as "Copy" (for quick and lossless conversion) and change the Audio to a different format. I am going to offer my own solution, which is still not ideal but is better than being forced to upgrade to Windows 10, or being unable to update Premiere forever. Thanks for the suggestion but this is absolutely NOT the easiest and quickest work around! Merging video and audio for each individual clip, in a project where you might have tens of different clips, is simply not practical.
